Pinnacle Financial's CEO explains how the bank has produced industry-leading growth and shareholder returns since its founding in 2000.
Pinnacle Financial Partners CEO Terry Turner and his team are continuing to check items off their acquisition to-do list. On Monday, shareholders from the Nashville-based lender and BNC Bancorp approved Pinnacle's $2 billion takeover of the High Point, N.C.-based bank. Now that the deal — which was announced in January and will give Pinnacle its first out-of-state footprint — has received shareholder approval and regulatory approval, Turner's team will focus on one of the trickiest parts of any acquisition: converting the banks' two operating systems.
Terry Turner, CEO of Pinnacle Financial Partners, took home the Southeast region's Entrepreneur of the Year Award for financial services from EY. Turner was one of eight local executives in the running for EY's annual awards, which were announced at a gala in Atlanta on Thursday night . Of the award, Turner said in an emailed statement to the Nashville Business Journal: "It’s been a while since I started a business, but I guess I still qualify as an entrepreneur.
