Do you realize the Court Approval is to transfer the final assets of BONTQ to a NEW OWNER? BONTQ and BONTQ shareholders have no part of the new stores or anything that happens with Bon Ton from here on out.

    Hey this is no good!!!!
Bon-Ton leaders may believe that with the closing of those weaker stores, the company would be more attractive to potential buyers. The debt-holders noted in their objection that between November and early January, Bon-Ton contacted 38 potential buyers, and only seven signed confidentiality agreements and none provided even a non-binding indication of interest.

It is also good to note that the company buying out Bon-Ton stores, CSC Generation, owns successful ONLINE businesses in DirectBuy, DirectBuy Leasing, Leaseco, and Killion. With CEC Generation wanting to make Bon-Ton more online, we could see success SINCE they’re already good in the online world.

Bon-Ton Creditors May Propose Bankruptcy Within Weeks

1.) Department-store chain posted holiday-sales decline this week
2.) One option is to combine parts of retailer with other company

    Combine with Macy's? Kohl's?
Bon Ton has contracts with vendors that Kohl's does not have, maybe that would be good synergy
Macy's would not be a bad idea either.
    I guess time will tell.

BIG day tomorrow. OTC stocks do very well when news like what we have seen comes out. People call it a “campaign.” When buyers see this news they will say, “Oh, this is going to go up,” so they will buy the stock.
I have seen around five news article today on this exact information on the official buyout, not the articles we saw from Thursday. When more articles are released tomorrow and it becomes official to the public and the company start functioning again, this stock will go up far. That is my prediction at least. I could see it going up to $0.50. Don’t doubt this because remember just a few years ago it was $10+. The stock has a lot of potential and a BIG following.

I don't have a position in this stock, but after Brittany posted on the celz board I took a look. All I have to say is are you people #$%$? The assets of the company have been sold off under bk liquidation. The creditors/debt holders recieve money before the shareholders per absolute priority structure under bk law. The handful of stores reopening are owned by a different non publicly traded company per the article. Stop scamming people into buying shares that are going to be cancelled, ffs.

Bon-Ton Stores wants bondholders to sign on to a restructuring plan that amounts to a Hail Mary pass. The company is telling them that they have nothing left to lose. Yea, except their minds!!!!
I completely agree with the Motley Fool's assessment!!!!

However, I would do a deal with Kohl's. Kohl's allows Bon Ton to keep their profitable stores and Kohl's on the other hand gets some of the contracts that Bon Ton has and Kohl's would get a whole new pool of credit card holders which helps their business model!!! That is something I would do or try to do!! Because what those Balloon Heads from Bon Ton management is proposing is sheer folly!!! SMH
    Bon Ton/Kohl's partnership: #MakeItWork!

Read the articles more closely. CSC is buying BONTQ's intangible assets (trademarks, domain names, etc.), not its stock. BONTQ as an entity is dead and is not coming back. The liquidators represent the second lien noteholders and will take the proceeds of all the assets sales leaving nothing for general creditors, let alone shareholders.

When is the auction of the store leases and stores? It will be interesting to see who and what picks the better locations up. Thanks in advance for a response.
