Last year a poster said the stock was going to $75. Now its $180. Remember that when you read predictions especially on boards. BRKB is up 22.5% in the last 12 months vs approx 15% for the S & P. Both are good enough for me. I love reading articles about how Buffett has lost it. I am happy with a 22.5% return over 12 months from a company whose stock price is less volatile than the rest of the market.

I got a chuckle out of message # 231807 on the other board.
    My take:
If, over the next 100 years prices grow 9% per year and sales grow 4% per year then that would the price to sales ratio around 200 at end of that century.
And if the profit margin is a very optimistic 10% of sales, then that put the Price to earnings ratio around 2,000.
    LOL!

For Uncle Warren, from one of his biggest fans me, I put this on FB.

"He noted that since Forbes created its first list of the 400 richest Americans in 1982 — Buffett was worth just $250 million then — some 1,500 different people have been included."

Buffett turned 250 million into 80 BILLION TAX FREE via his holdings in Berkshire Hathaway. Since brkb doesnt pay a dividend he hasnt even had to pay tax on dividend income not one dime in tax. I LOVE BUFFETT ,love the guy, but lets keep it real. He gets HUGE tax writes offs for gifting these shares to the 5 foundations he supports, 1/2 goes to the Gates Foundation. The foundations enjoy the proceeds from the sales of these shares TAX FREE. Would reasonable american voters agree the foundations should pay a flat tax on the proceeds of these sales, say 15 % or even 10 % ? The FED would raise about 15 TRILLION, TRILLION, from this very reasonable tax going forward. The money would be used to rebuild our public education system, offer our Vets the best health care money can buy, pay down our debt, and rebuild america. Would any candidate from either party get 75 million votes with that simple FAIR plan ? If Sanders or any DEM understood the facts it would be all over, they win in a landslide. IF Trump and his Goldman Sach pals dont go after the WEALTH , the generational hoarded wealth in america, the DEMS will but they wont be as kind as i am, Sanders might go for 20 % or more ?

John, time to write a piece on this issue bud. I'll proof it free !! lol.
