  • Ok, so we heard last cc they had a big uptick in paid trials of DataV, we now need to hear we converted some of those trials into long term contracts, and that we also re-loaded more paid trial into the pipeline. At this point everyone seems to be jumping into the Big Data/IoT market and positioning themselves as a player. BSQR ceo was an early advocate of this market and guided BSQR into it. Now that they are there, can this ceo be the guide to closing large sustainable deals, and exit the third-party vendor anchor? Can he get BSQR out of the sub-100mm market cap rut it has been in since it came public?
I hope so, but it should be clear by the end of the year, if he is. In the meantime, as a hedge, I'd also be looking to be acquired. Get rid of the public company overhead, and way over paid Board members and BSQR would be making pretty good money.
  • Here's another thought: sell the third party book for 1X revenue, maybe 80mm, and that puts the cash balance at 110mm, then pay a 5$ share special dividend, which leaves roughly 50mm in cash on the B/S, and then rename the company DATAV, change the ticker, and then it is a pure play IoT software company.
  • Interesting pop today, after directors get their shares for being on Board, and also looks like one director bought on the open market.
  • Insider buying and insider selling….Jerry adds on and director Kendra "deadweight" Vandermeulen selling. It has been a dead stock since she joined the Board and accumulated lots of shares for what appears to be very little in return. She never bought a single share in the open market. Goodbye Kendra!! Hopefully, her selling is a precursor to resigning from the Board and allowing Jerry the opportunity to populate the Board with folks who understand what the company does and what it wants to accomplish, and someone who can actually help bsqr mgt achieve it's goals.
  • Google now getting into Cloud-based IoT, and bsqr has very solid relationship with them.
  • Whoop! Whoop! Another disappointing, unproductive quarter; where the BSQR fanboys at?
  • next Q will reflect change in accounting for software sales, close the gap to cash received
  • Jerry mentioned a couple of things at the Sidoti conference that I was glad to hear…that they are trying to figure out a way work with GE (Predix) and has a strong relationship with Harel Kodesh. Also mentioned that the 3rd party business with msft is
steady (albeit with slightly lower margins). I also got the sense with the deck they put out for the show that they are trying to broaden their partnerships to help roll-out DataV. He also mentioned that there is a potentially strong portfolio of patents already filed for and soon to be filed for.

  • Strong volume, today, with no news. Interesting.
  • Micron's growth and success with the expansion of the Cloud portends well for BSQR's IoT. The two are "connected." It's just a matter of time and BSQR will score a monumental win, bringing new attention to the stock and ramping up interest and the price. It seems entirely possible for this stock to suddenly march upwards to the 30s within a year of a big score. Due to the "space" they are in, that big score just has to be visible, if not within reach. I'm hopeful that we will realize this happening soon. But, no one knows. One of my concerns for the stock is that I hope a larger firm doesn't convince management to sell out to join the big boys at a $7 or $8 acquisition price, depriving longs of the long-awaiting home run.
    Good luck longs.
  • looks like the market is valuing bsqr minus cash at about 20mm. Maybe Management needs to figure out a way to tell the story better, or sell the third party business and focus on DataV and integration, or sell it all.
  • One of the fundamental benchmarks I'd like to see is patent protection for their IP, which that last we heard was under application.
  • looks like the trend is lower and lower…bulls need a reversal from some real fundamental positive news…otherwise we keep the downward mono.
  • love the new product!!! platform agnostic…nice one BSQR!
  • Nice new job posting on their website for a linux programmer for work within the auto industry.
  • "We make these applications for IoT that require processing close to the things due to latency, due to bandwidth requirements or lack thereof. So as you kind of embark upon this IoT world, the services and capabilities at the edge of your network are going to be more and more critical."

That was from an EVP at CSCO…the edge is BSQR's sweet spot.
  • That a boy Jerry! Thanks for showing your support by buying shares on the open market.
  • Who's gonna help Goog win the cloud war? Why, bsqr of course, with it's ability to apply predictive analystics to the edge of all devices for enterprises all tied together through Goog's cloud.
  • I hear Goog's new strategy will compel them to license DataV.
