John Hancock Financial Opportunities Fund (BTO)

Whether it is Gold or Bitcoin (smart play is both) take at least what you put in off the table and into there. It's where most will run as this chaos creates more uncertainty in the market.
B2Gold ( $BTG and $BTO.TO) is the most solid gold miners I know, check them out for yourself. Record earnings coming out next week too, so excellent time to safely setup your safety net that can grow in the short and long term. Nice dividend too.

This is what I like to see. Gold just past $2000. $BTO returning to more respectable levels, up 13 cents today. Gold is going to $2600-$3000 within 1 to 2 years. This stock could easily hit $15 Canadian. Not selling. I bought another 13,000 shares on Monday.

Buy! Lower tax rate No foreign loans or trading risks. Deregulation by Congress resulting in lower admin costs. Dividend raises.

Regional banks are not dependent on trading revenue as a major factor for profits. The number of regional banks are decreasing in number as mergers are increasing. Buyouts are great.

Why the 7% pullback the last 2 days?

Invest in Gold. $BTG $BTO, excellent books, big discount relative to peers, ALL analyst rating are BUY or STRONG BUY for a reason. Diversify into other industries now, even if small portion you'll be ahead of the game should it take off.

Regional bank considers a "foreign" loan if a LA County bank makes a loan in Orange County. All great for regional banks. Income tax rates reduced, no currency risks, fewer and looser Federal regulations, higher interest rates, growing loan demand, mergers, etc.. All good.

Buybacks are increasing together with larger dividends. Selling at a discount to NAV. Loan demand on a higher trajectory. All signs positive for growth. Mergers happening.

Sold all my 5000 shares at CAD 6,49, rebought yesterday at CAD 6,33. Too long accumulation. But anyway I am bullish on $BTO

Regional banks are not relying on trading revenue for earnings. In fact, trading revenues have hampered earnings for large money center banks. Loan growth has been increasing for regional banks. Interest margins are ok.

latest reports are that regional banks are increasing dividends.

BTO has increased its quarterly dividend by 50% effective with December payout.
