The fund, under normal circumstances, will invest at least 80% of its net assets, plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes, in mid-cap companies. The fund's Subadvisor currently considers mid-cap companies to be companies having market capitalizations within the market capitalization range of companies included in the Russell Midcap® Index. It invests principally in common stocks of U.S. companies, and, to a lesser extent, in equity securities of foreign issuers usually those which are publicly traded in the United States either directly or through American Depositary Receipts ("ADRs").
