    Major Friendship Heights property owners form BID-like alliance

    Major property owners in Friendship Heights, on both sides of the D.C.-Maryland line, have formed a business improvement district-like nonprofit as they aim for a "new vision and refreshed identity" for the neighborhood. The new Friendship Heights Alliance cemented its launch as a 501(c)6 nonprofit organization Nov. 16 with the election of a board of directors. Jad Donohoe, senior vice president of The Donohoe Cos., has been named chair and Chevy Chase Land Co. CEO John Ziegenhein vice-chair.

    BOSTON, November 17, 2021--Boston Properties, Inc. (NYSE: BXP), the largest publicly traded developer, owner, and manager of Class A office properties in the United States, today announced that the Company has been named to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) North America for 2021. BXP was one of nine real estate companies that qualified and the only office REIT in the index, scoring in the 93rd percentile of the industry universe of companies assessed for inclusion.
