The Company's same-store sales for the quarter decreased 24% to the same period last year.

Nordstrom just said sales fell 53%, so I would say CATO did well considering the current conditions.

December sss were reported as flat. Management said December same-store sales were below current trend and the stock trades down. Strange.

Buying this stock today, before g20 weekend, is like rolling the dice. Frankly, I feel lucky at the moment and willing to take the risk. They surely buy lot of stuff in China, but stock would not be priced that cheap, relative to financials, without this risk.
After all, Trump and Xi could really make a truce, who knows.

Much better than the first quarter. They paid down their debt and managed inventory down.

If I'm reading the finances right, it looks like they have enough cash & credit to go 4 to 5 more quarters, burning cash at the same rate. So, not likely to go bankrupt before the pandemic recedes, even without more financing or stock offerings. After that, bound to bounce back.

Questions are, how long will that take, and how low will the share price go before then? Very tempting to start a position here....

It finally got to $12, there is no hope for this company, they are closing around 26 stores, expect that number to increase. Not many areas left to cut cost, they already pay really low wages. Still think dividend is safe since the owner makes around 600-700k a year on dividends.

What's your price target on this stock? I feel it's significantly undervalued (400-420 millions market cap would be a fair value for me.) Am I the only one who feels this way?
