    European stocks open higher, as Dow futures climb 143 points

    European stocks opened higher Wednesday, after declining in six of the last eight sessions. The Stoxx Europe 600 rose 0.7%. Gainers included Royal Ahold Delhaize , as the supermarket operator lifted its annual guidance, and Coca-Cola HBC after the company's first-half results. Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 143 points.
