(CEL) (CEL) (the "Company") announced today that following the previously reported preparation for a potential offering of debentures in an aggregate amount of approximately NIS 300 million, to the public in Israel only, the Company completed the institutional stage of the offering. In light of the demand, the Company decided to increase the offering amount to an aggregate of approximately NIS 400 million principal amount. In the institutional tender the Company received early commitments from institutional investors in Israel for the purchase of approximately NIS 187 million principal amount of series K debentures and approximately NIS 213 million principal amount of series L debentures in the offering.

    Israel's Cellcom Q3 profit shrinks, brings in fibre optics partner

    Israel's largest mobile phone operator Cellcom posted a 97 percent drop in third quarter net profit on declining revenue and as it continues to invest in a fibre optics network and its TV service. Cellcom reported on Thursday a quarterly net profit of 1 million shekels ($267,989), compared with a net profit of 32 million a year earlier, while revenue slipped 6.7 percent to 910 million shekels. Analysts, on average, forecast profit of 8.3 million shekels on revenue of 933 million, according to a Reuters poll.
