Channel 7 news last night had a report about a jersey-based company testing liquid biopsies that can detect cancer in a blood test but would not give us any specifics does anybody know anything about it?
Looking at the recent acquisition it appears CGIX is adding a potentially very large revenue stream in drug repurposing. This puts them even more similar to the likes of MGEN...who just reported Q2 #ers of a whopping $700,000 in revs, losing $7mmQtr. Yet they sport a $200million market cap. Based on these metrics it could be easily argued that CGIX should be easily trading at $20 plus sp. The market doesn't always have it right but eventually it will. I know many bought this stock when it was in its teens. Theres no reason why CGIX won't return to those kind of SP & even much higher in my opinion. They are a leader in a multi-billion dollar space...current revenues & market cap will begin to reflect same IMO. Tuesday will be worth listening to. All JMHO...good luck to all!
a Insider on the board does not buy 375,000 worth of stock unless he believes good news is coming
Reading the current sec filing , the prospectus , regarding Aspire capital. I'm Trying to determine if this a brilliant way to finance the current acquisition or another misguided financial adventure, by CGIX management. On first blush if they do not sell anymore shares, than they already have. at the $3 ps price , aprox. 1 million plus a 300k share gift , cost basis sub $3 ps for Aspire, its ok but if they continue to sell at $3ps as agreement states it reeks of desperation and lack of other financing options. CGIX needs to explain itself during Mondays call. If their stated signed contracts are truly valid and revenue generating why not use borrowed funds or other means for current financing rather than diluting current stockholders ? I understand that the current deal does have the effect of increasing current worth, book value , etc. of CGIX but am now at the point that I need to feel confident that management has its shareholders best interest in mind and will not dilute them/us into oblivion over the next year or two, remember the acquisition is 90% stock and 10% cash. JMHO. I still have faith in Pappajohn's financial wisdom and would like to hear CGIX expand / explain their reasoning . Done correctly this could be one financial step back to enable many larger ones forward.
last 3 days in a row at exactly 3:30 someone buys 20,000 shares
So P Logg, you actually talked with Panna and on top of that pushed for better PR. Wow now Im impressed, clearly that's gonna make a difference!!!! Im jumping back in now. I mean really. Geez!!! Darius, at the end of the day its all about the numbers for any company. This one isn't any different. The last six quarters clearly paint the picture. No way on Gods green earth does a growth company show no revenue growth for 5 quarters and then post a DECLINE in the most recent quarter. Believe the hype or believe the numbers. Remember, HOPE is NOT a plan. And we've all been hoping for sometime now. Just keeping it real.
Fwiw acquiring companies often dip on "the news" & EPS was right in line with estimates which is likely why it has stabilized. Despite the assertions by some the company has been publicly stating for nearly 2 years now that they intended to reduce costs & streamline operations...this goes back to just post the Response Genetics acquisition about 2 years ago. The idea that the company reduced expenses because they knew the qtr would come in light is just silly & naive. Its great that they reduce costs, a goal of most companies...to be as efficient with capital as possible. They will continue to reduce cost, hold 40% margins & ramp revenues. This of course is all JMHO. Thats why I remain invested in CGIX, its why I added more shares yesterday & why I will remain patient for this story to play out. GLTA
This company should be profitable within a year, way oversold! I'm backing up the truck and loading up!
Same ole , same ole . Management still can not monetize assets and generate revenue. No talk of bringing in anyone to help in that regard , same ole , same ole . Management now seems intent on acquiring growth rather than generating internally. Management is still grossly lacking in any financial results , savvy ,expertise , etc. Time to rethink the market size and overall demand for CGIX services ?, perhaps that is why nobody of substance sans Pappajohn follows , analyses , writes , or otherwise is involved . Time for me to spend some additional time and do some further DD. Quarters have turned into years CGIX should have had the financial side under control by now , IMO. So much promise , so few results. To be continued....................???
Did I miss the dip? Ladies and gentlemen, this was a golden opportunity and do not miss to add more at these rates. You will not be sad.
‘Liquid Biopsy’ Blood Test Could Help Fight Lung Cancer: Study
A new study says that a simple blood test could replace invasive biopsies to quickly find the best cancer therapies to fight the most common type of lung cancer.
How good is this acquisition??
GOOD CC.....THE RAMP UP IN CONTRACT REVENUES AND THE ACQUISITION ADDING 5M ANNUAL REVS IS VERY GOOD.......THEY DO NOT FORECAST GROWTH, BUT THE LIQUID BIOPSY FOR LUNG....(WHICH WILL BE FOLLOWED FOR OTHER TUMORS) IS HUGE.......THE 100K SHARE PURCHASE BY AN INSIDER ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO IS VERY POSITIVE......SO, SMALL HANDS LEFT THE SHIP BUT, SO FAR, LESS THAN 20K SHARES......NOTHING.....CAN'T WAIT FO THE ANALYSTS TO COMMENT SOON.
Early knee jerk reaction. Real investors will buy this dip gettin set up going forward. GLTAL's........
What's the verdict folks since management will be opening mouth in 4-5 hours? Adding or trimming position before ER? I feel like adding more ...
if your timeline is a week or a couple of months get out my time line is two three four years and I know this stock will be triple by then
