This isn’t a mystery at all; if the company was run as well as some people believe, the stock wouldn’t be languishing in the $4-$5 range for the past three years with this current leadership!

    Obviously it isn’t!

PE now 5.85. The 10 year yield would have to be at 16% to justify such a low PE, or have the expectation that earnings fall by 2/3. Neither are likely. Apparently you should never invest in any company under $20 billion worth as hedge funds and computer algorithms will destroy it.

Stronger dollar will reduce cost of imported clothing and increase Chico’s earnings.

Also now CHS has $149 million cash vs $99 million debt excluding leases, so debt free in reality. Bizarre that the stock is crushed down almost 20% in two days after excellent earnings and revenue growth as well as future growth of company. So much for fundamental analysis, better to just go with whatever stocks the funds are buying, like MSFT, APPL, GOOG, etc.

Excellent earnings and revenue growth. Should be a $11 to $15 stock.

I bought back just under $5... any thoughts on short term price target?

With a PE of 7, it is possible CHS will be bought for a much higher price. The 10% drop today on record earnings and revenue is an opportunity to do so. Even with the 10 year at 5%, the PE should be at least 15.

Wow Simply Wall St again publishes hit story that Chicos has too much debt. Except their figures are wrong, and lease debt is not like bank debt. I wonder why they do this?
