Cinedigm (CIDM) announced today the sale of 84 digital cinema projection systems to two cinema chains, bringing the total number of systems sold to date to 328. “We are very pleased with the continued interest from cinema chains in purchasing our systems as such sales were originally contemplated to occur at the conclusion of the digital cinema deployment plan,” said Gary Loffredo, President of Digital Cinema. Cinedigm led the entertainment industry initiative to convert movie theaters from 35mm analog projectors to digital projection technology.

Cinedigm (CIDM) announced plans to sell 125 digital cinema projection systems from the company’s Phase 1 purchases on or about January 15, 2019 and is currently in the process of selecting an advisory firm with expertise in this area to monetize the remaining 3,582 equipment systems. 142 of such systems have already been sold or are contracted for sale to date. The company will be accounting for these sales as other income on its income statement and we are adding this number to FY 2019 Q4 and FY 2019 revenues.
