After cutting its headcount and opting to split in two, EQT Corp. is now putting some of its headquarters space on the market for sublease, according to new materials distributed by CBRE. Linda Robertson, a spokeswoman for EQT, confirmed the company's decision to sublease a portion of its space, explaining "we have excess capacity in EQT Plaza, which is a result of our November 2018 upstream and midstream separation," providing no further comment. New marketing materials distributed by CBRE for a "Trophy Class A sublease opportunity" shows a little more than 46,000 square feet of space as available on the 12th and 19th floor at EQT Plaza, where the company has kept its corporate headquarters of 250,000 square feet for about 10 years now.

A proposed shopping center in a suburb north of Orlando wants to bring much needed new retail space to the area. Orlando-based Elevation Development LLC is developing the project, called Shoppes at Longwood, at 250 E. State Road 434 east of the intersection with Ronald Reagan Boulevard, according to plans filed with the state. The shopping center is expected to feature six buildings with roughly 60,000 square feet of retail space. Future retailers in the roughly $18 million project may include shops, restaurants, fitness and casual dining users, said Owais Khanani, a partner at Elevation Development.
E-commerce giant Amazon.com Inc. plans to open a distribution center in Daytona Beach. The Seattle-based company (Nasdaq: AMZN) will operate a roughly 300,000-square-foot distribution center east of Interstate 95 near the 630,000-square-foot Trader Joe’s distribution center, sources confirmed to Orlando Business Journal.

The 262,000-square-foot building is seeking approvals on 16 acres in Liberty Park at AIPO, a 1,350-acre industrial and commercial mixed-use park near the Orlando International Airport, according to plans with the state.
