Every quarter about 3 weeks before earnings Chipotle rolls out multiple
"charitable" donations. There have been so many off the wall items I have forgotten them. Such as 1 million dollars in free burritos for schools or a Chipotle clothing line or Chipotle backpacks etc etc.
Some were way out there.
And IMO I always thought it was a way to fudge the results. Their margins are razor thin so any large charity expense may help.
I wonder if any of their many charity schemes were ever audited?? I doubt it.

I used to live on Chipotle. Now I eat there once a year. You go there and wait in line for 10-15 min to pat $10 for a burrito. Sure glad I figured out you will go broke eating out to often. Tip of the day: Prepare food at home.

Anyone owning chipotle stock should get out. The outlets are all a horrible mess. Inconsistent opening and closings, orders taken and paid online but the outlet doesn’t deliver. Impossible to take to anyone at customer service. The company is falling apart

pre-pandemic high was around $920 AND that was when the economy was cranking, and the Fed was friendly. CMG will land somewhere around $500 before the Fed says uncle.
