NEW YORK (AP) — The sportscaster who popularized the phrase "Let's go to the videotape!" filed an age discrimination lawsuit on Thursday over his firing from shock jock Don Imus' radio show.
The agreement includes all 162 White Sox regular season, plus any postseason games, as well as select spring training games. In their 10th season together, the on-air duo of Ed Farmer (play-by-play) and Darrin Jackson (analyst) return to do the honors on WGN-AM. The team's first preseason game is just over a week away on Feb. 23, so the White Sox needed to make a deal fast after Cumulus Media announced late last year that it was ending its contract to air White Sox games on WLS-AM (890) after Cumulus declared bankruptcy.
The Chicago Bulls today said they are moving their local radio game broadcast home to Entercom's WSCR-AM (670) from Cumulus' WLS-AM (890), which had been the team's radio home since the start of the 2016-17 season. The first game broadcast on WSCR-AM will be Feb. 3, when the Bulls take on the Los Angeles Clippers. Cumulus filed for bankruptcy protection last November, and recently announced it would drop both Bulls and Chicago White Sox game broadcasts.
