Buy on opening? Oh A nice arbitrage opportunity on the dip this morning? We will still get the 99 cent premium payment and book value still at 6.20.
5. We know for a fact Dynex Capital NYSE $DX investors Barry Igdaloff, Howard Amster (Todd Emoff, Thomas Akin) and Manny Friedman/Neal Wilson co CEOs of EJF Capital
and Wesley Edens, Peter Briger co CEOs of Fortress
wholly owned subsidiary of Softbank $SFTBY Masa Son, CEO and ex Fortress executive Rajeev Misra now CEO of
(Michael Huang, Quant at Fortress and NRZ) are WORLD CLASS MREIT investors aka experts in NOVC CCR cleanup call rights per SRTA Section 5.04 see NOVC 2007 Q3 10Q. NOVC and CPA firm Boulay Group by focusing in on Fair Market Value (page 25 of 10K) of CCR create FUD mislead from disclosing the future plans of rich, seasoned collateral assets to most $3B RMBS, Non-QM aka subprime portfolio. Current Value of CCR mean NOTHING it is the future plans to use Collateral Assets (per Section 5.04 if Service Rights Transfer Agreement see back of Q3 2007 10Q) that can be leveraged/resecuritized at NIMs net interest margins of 500 Bpts. $3Billion times x same leverage as $DX, $NRZ $45Billion times x NIM 5% = $2.3Billion. This creates a 3.30 to 5.50/share annual dividend estimate.
5.a. This can be finance by shelf offering already approved by shareholders for Preferred Stock P/S Series F defined in $NOVC Oct 2018 Proxy 14A page 12 (prices one NOVC common right to dividend/vote at Mass Mutual cost basis $2.33/one common). These investors restructured Dynex Capital $DX together, Fortress further restructured $NCT into $DS after spinning off $NRZ, $SNR and NEWM now $GCI, they restructured public companies with the same attributes to $NOVC including $OCN Servicer of NOVC $3B RMBS Portfolio, One Main $OMF, Mr. Cooper $COOP which merged $3.8B with Fortress 70% owned Nationstar, Impac Mortgage Holdings $IMH, Capstead Mortgage $CMO used by Fortress to camouflaged Fortress ownership of Dynex Capital $DX which Wesley Edens, COB restructured 2000-03 with Barry Igdaloff (Chairman of $NOVC and served on DX Board for 20 years) and his crew, on and on.

One quick question, so when CMO's publicly traded shares go to a private equity holder, Benefit Street Partners Realty Trust, how can I get my money out of the Benefit Street Partners Realty Trust? I really don't care about the 20% payout in cash if they are going to steal the remaining equity from me!
Have they announced an ex-dividend date to qualify for the 99 cent payout?
New to investing. Can someone explain to me the buy out? You’ll get 99 cents per share you own when the merger goes through? And then your shares (whether it’s 1:1, reverse split, etc) will convert to the new ticker?
Did we get any more updates on CMO book value for July or Aug?
Thoughts on how CMO compares versus other REITs?
"Based on the June 30 adjusted book values per share,1 the implied cash payment would be $0.99 per share and the total value would be $7.30 per share, representing an implied 20% premium to the last reported sale price of Capstead common stock on the New York Stock Exchange ("NYSE") on July 23, 2021."
If I am reading this correctly, then the stock price should increase to $6.31. It is already at $6.57.
How often does CMO revise their Book Value?
Pleasant Move today. Wasnt expecting that given the weeks performance and yesterdays bad earnings. But I guess they confirmed the book value of the company solidifying the buyout price.
When will the merger take place
Not sure why CMO is not trading above $7 right now.
Now up to 6 lawyers investigating what desperation for business
Four law firms investigating merger guess they are desperate
high percentage of institutional ownership, decent dividend, reasonable mgmt, rebounding sector.....what's not to like here
I’ve held this stock since 2013, was attracted to the yield and seemed somewhat stable at the time, tried to dollar cost average when I could, but feels, like my ROI keeps decreasing. Keep DCA or...?
This is just like AGNC.....why is it down so much, and AGNC it up??/ Both have obligations guaranteed by the govt agencies.
FOLKS ARE MOVING OUT OF CALIF/NEW YORK/CHICAGO/WASH STATE/OREGON......HIGH TAXES, AND
NUTTY JERKS FOR MAYORS, AND GOVERNORS ALONG WITH CRIME & HIGH TAXES! MORTAGE BUSINESS ALONG WITH LOW RATES WILL BE VERY GOOD FOR AWHILE ON RE-FI, AND NEW HOME LOANS. I AM BUYING 600 SHARES TODAY IN AN IRA AS A STARTING POSITION. IN 1 YEAR IT MIGHT BE $7 PAYING $0.20 CENTS DIVVIE.
Does anyone have any suggestions for monthly dividend payers.
Under normal circumstances this preferred stock trades between $23 and $25. When it trades below that range the overall market usually sucks and when it trades above $25 market participants are usually desperately looking for yield.
