Insurer steps into void from Blue KC's departure from marketplace

Centene Corp. announced Friday that next year it will begin selling health plans to 25 Western Missouri counties that had been left without any health insurers offering individual market plans. Lindley-Myers said the final decisions for health insurance exchange participation in 2018 will not be made until late September, when companies will sign contracts with the federal marketplace.
