Centene & its subsidiary, Home State Health entered into an agreement with Schnuck Markets and the Betty Jean Kerr People's Health Centers to boost Foothold in Ferguson
Centene Corp. announced Friday that next year it will begin selling health plans to 25 Western Missouri counties that had been left without any health insurers offering individual market plans. According to a release, the Celtic Insurance Co., a subsidiary of the Clayton-based Centene and an affiliate of Home State Health Plan, will fill the void left in these counties after the departure of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City. Lindley-Myers said the final decisions for health insurance exchange participation in 2018 will not be made until late September, when companies will sign contracts with the federal marketplace.
