$CNK and $IMAX both down, but $AMC is way up! That's a stark reversal of the "norm." Things are definitely changing.

Listening to Q2 CC: $645MM cash at the end of April 2021 - Based on reduction of monthly cash burn from $65MM to $50MM, cash runway into Q2 2022. But expect monthly burn rate to reduce as more patrons return to the theaters as more blockbusters are released this summer and throughout the rest of the year.

Anticipate achieving cash flow positive by year end.

I have to disconnect and will catch the rest this weekend.

The agreement with all five studios is significant, and I look forward to the details on all of the agreements. If similar to the Universal 2-tier exclusivity agreement, that would be a best-case scenario. Also excited about the recent agreement with Netflix to be the only nationwide exhibitor in the U.S. Company is looking forward to additional similar arrangements.

All aspects are steering CNK to 30+ level. Will it be in this Q or by the end of the year? Depending on when the shorts will stop the losses!!!

I'm sitting tight and doing the best I can to ignore this crazy volatility. I'm looking at this longterm with the expectation that 2021 Q3 / Q4 and 2022 will ultimately prove CNK was one of the best "recovery investments."

Need advice, should I sell half my stack? 900, sell 450 tomorrow to be on the safe side. Smart move or no? To be considered a one year hold I would have to hold until mid June. I’m just worried now about a pull back in the markets and I’m not sure if we are safe

Was about to buy a position yesterday. CNK is a bargain @ 22. I am old skool... drove buy a Cinemark theatre on my way home from work last Saturday in a very affluent area. #$%$ movies. Sleepy Joezilla vs King Kong but the parking lot was PACKED! Texted my wife that it looked as though we were back to normal. I am still looking for an entry point. Many of these huge blockbuster movies will finally be released this summer. The new Bond movie among them. People are ready to resume a normal life and go to a movie on the weekend. Americans are sick of being pent up and most are now vaccinated. CNK reports Q1 earnings on May 7th. It is just my opinion but I think that if we buy in at the bottom we will make money by the fall. Guys, be aware that CNK will be to the Moon soon. 22.24m shares have been shorted. Daily volume is getting thin and share price is increasing. Meanwhile CNK is expected to breakeven this Q. The shorties will try to recover the position quicker than their peer shorties. So if u wanna ride the wave upward, prepare it now!!!

GVK box office hit 60 million for the first weekend...just shows demand is there and people are returning, not sure how much popcorn was sold though ( that was for Michael ).

Godzilla vs. Kong rakes in $285M+ plus worldwide - very impressive considering not all theaters are open and the ones that are open are limited to 50% or less occupancy. And this movie was released to HBO Max at the same time. This is a great tell for the pent up demand for theatrical. Looking forward to a record-setting 2H of this year.

Can someone explain to me the strategy behind boycotting movies released by Disney that are simultaneously released as PVOD for about $30 on Disney+ versus not boycotting the Warner Bros movies that are simultaneously released for free to subscribers of HBO Max. It seems the impressive success of GVK last weekend should help both the studios and the theaters remember where the movie the major tentpoles get the biggest bang for their buck - in theaters.

I tried to see King and Godzilla yesterday on Dolby Cinema in Peabody MA - both shows sold out, I saw on 3D - full theatre! The concessions area had people waiting in line! The big movies are bringing them back in droves.... over half of the patrons weren’t even eligible for the vaccine yet! I think only the shorts will be the ones hesitant to return!! Watch out! This will be $20 by September!
(Don’t tell anyone I’m betting on $CNK though! My main theatres though are AMCs, CNK is too far away to frequent for me!)
