Continental Aktiengesellschaft provides products and services primarily for the automotive industry worldwide. The company’s Chassis & Safety segment offers electronic brake systems and software solutions, chassis electronics and air suspension systems, hydraulic brake systems, passive safety and sensorics, and driver assistance systems. Its Powertrain segment provides gasoline and diesel injection systems; turbochargers; engine management and transmission control systems, including sensors and actuators; exhaust aftertreatment and fuel supply systems; and components and systems for hybrid and electric drives. The company’s Interior segment offers information, communication, and network solutions, such as instrument clusters, high-definition touchscreen and head-up displays, haptic controls, central input devices, interior cameras, and integrated systems for cockpit modules; infotainment and connectivity systems; intelligent transportation systems; electronic systems; and commercial vehicles and aftermarket services. Its Tire segment provides passenger and light truck tire equipment, and commercial vehicle and two-wheel tires under the Continental, General Tire, Barum, Uniroyal, Semperit, General Tire, Viking, Gislaved, Euzkadi, Sime Tyres, Mabor, and Matador brands. The company’s ContiTech segment offers air spring systems, surface materials, rubber compounds and sheets, conveyor belts, elastomer coatings, hoses and hose systems, mobile fluid systems, power transmission products, and vibration controls. It also serves customers in various industrial sectors comprising railway engineering, machine and equipment engineering, and mining; and end-user markets. The company was founded in 1871 and is headquartered in Hanover, Germany.
