  • Why didn't CREE try to strike a deal with TXN for its GaN electronics unit? No CFIUS concerns there. What are the odds TXN just buys the whole stinkin' mess that is CREE?

The new GaN Inverter Reference Design features TI's LMG3410 600-V, 12-A GaN power module. This allows the design to switch up to 5x faster than silicon FETs. Its efficiency level is greater than 98% at 100 kHz and greater than 99% at 24 kHz pulse width modulation (PWM) frequency.

  • Recommend all go out to Amazon and see Cree Bulb pricing. It shows you that the margins are shrinking. Massive deflation in LED Lighting. Same cost as a incandescent and last 22 times longer. Duh...where is your replacement market Cree? Looks like you are burning your furniture.
  • So Cree, go gonna let Amazon drive your bulb costs to $0.
  • Market up, CREE share price down.

Can CREE compete with Sylvania selling 800 lumen A19 dimmable LED light bulbs for $0.99/piece?
  • Down on a nice up day for market. #$%$ cree and the hole you crawled out of.
  • I wrote a scathing email to CREE after the last quarterly results report. Itemized each screw up of the CEO. Perhaps it helped. I'm just happy he's leaving.
  • Very difficult to see CREE not making a big run north. check out awe-someSTOCKS, its a pretty reliable service. of course you have to do your own due diligence, but they generally point you in the right direction.
  • CEO leaving AND guidance reaffirmed..Whats not to like?
  • Does any body know WHY this has been sinking so fast, can't find any news.
Don't know if you can narrow it down to just one person with a screw up this bad
some of the best products with the worst management team.
Is some one is trying to tank it on purpose? Maybe there's more profit if it dies,
would make a lot of shorts happy. People used to follow this and talk about the
great new products it had, it's just sad what management has done to this company,
makes me wonder if it's even legal.....
  • Did any one see any news on why this is dropping?
Sure the shorts are happy, maybe management all went short...
It is a shame that a company that was once the darling of the market,
with out a doubt best in breed, had daily articles, the only question all were
asking was why only sell to HD? With Chuck in charge and a board of directors
to over see, now the question is WHAT HAPPEND?????????
  • at least, the market thinks ceo leaving is a good news for cree! sorry, chuck. but thanks!
  • How long can shareholders endure the CEO inability to turn around Cree. Time for Chuck to go!
  • I can't quit you Cree, but I believe I'm gonna put you down for a while....
  • The faint hearted need to leave. But life's full of risks.
  • CREE u should be so ashamed the way you have let this company fall apart. The stock market has been going up up up for the last several years as you go down down down. U need to be sued and forced to give all lost money back to those who held your worthless stock thinking the best was yet to come when in reality the worst has been here for several years now. blo me.
  • Love CREE T6 LEDs in my flashlights. Won't make CREE rich though. I buy "corn bulbs" from China. Less than $2 per bulb. A few years ago I was bragging on CREE. It's hard for them to make money with dropping prices...
I used to look for lower and lower wattage. But it's not worth it any more.
With my favorite bulbs at 2 3.5 and 5.2 watts now. What's the point??? I have a 4 bulb fixture at less than 8 watts instead of 240 Watts... And I basically stopped using the 3.5W bulbs now. Not going to fight for a couple of watts...
Using a socket splitter I got 3 bulbs in a 2 light fixture. Like 300W of 5K light will blind you for 15W...
I'm moving from my apartment soon. So I ended up buying about 16 incandescent bulbs. Felt silly. 60 watt bulbs. WHAT A JOKE!
Remembering the Republicans making noise about flickering dim bulbs. Boy has tech changed things....
  • Where are all the creepy cree management pom-pom girls wearing knee pads besides the Buzzard?

Yes the creepy rats are jumping ship.
  • If it goes down much more I will have to consider buying some.
