What underlying fundamental trends can indicate that a company might be in decline? More often than not, we'll see a declining return on capital employed (ROCE) and a declining amount of capital employed. This indicates to us that the business is not only shrinking the size of its net assets, but its returns are falling as well. So after glancing at the trends within Corteva (NYSE:CTVA), we weren't too hopeful.

maybe it's a good time to install more members with real agriculture background on the board to move the company forward. Look forward to the proxy fight.

Why does the Yahoo Board continue to post comments from Starboard shills promoting their attempt to take over Corteva? At the same time - removing comments from sharehholdrs opposed to changing management that has brought the barely year old company through three crises - down cycle of the ag industry as a whole, the China tarriffs that destroyed the US corn and soybean markets and the Pandemic. Stop this silliness of hedge funds moving in when times are good to make short term profits - leaving good businesses in shambles.

Starboard shills - you want to change management at CTVA, a company that is barely 18 months old and its management team has weathered 3 major crises - down cycle in major commercial crops (e.g. corn soybeans), the crazy tarriffs with China that essentially gave the US China Soybean market to Brazil, and the Pandemic - and still the stock has risen 40% while the S&P is up less than half that. The only reason Starboard wants at CTVA is to break it up and leave it in pieces for short term gain. This looming proxy fight is going to distract and undermine the company's efforts to exploit all the progress it has made - shame

Corn and soybean prices are skyrocketing. China is buying millions of tons. Farmers will be buying huge quantities of seeds/chemicals for the 2021 crop in the next few weeks.

CTVA is running strong-$40/share is upon us. News from overseas is concerning, crop failures here and there. China buying up corn and other grains by the millions of tons. China rebuilding their pork supply. This stock is not getting the attention it deserves right now. If it keeps growing like it this, it will be $50 by March.

Corteva is up 35%+ in the past 45 days. From $28. It had traded between $23 and $29 for a year before now. I’m feeling much smarter for waiting for this stock to break out.
