Dassault Systemes, a large French company that specializes in 3D design software, on Tuesday celebrated the opening of its 3DExperience Lab in Waltham, a space that will give entrepreneurs, students, university researchers and corporate innovation units access to high-tech product development equipment. A "digital fabrication" space outfitted with workbenches, 3D printers, laser engravers and a robotic arm was set up with help from an MIT initiative called the Center for Bits and Atoms.
