lumber prices are dropping, mortgage rates will stay very low. And home buyers are waiting in the wings. Big profits for home builders 2nd and 3rd quarters.

no doubt this will perform. I'll be topping up my position before earnings.

This type of jump is institutional and history shows a $5 day is possible.

c
what is with the insider selling? They crushed earnings and then you have folks on the inside that are selling large chunks of stock
A
I agree with some of the other commenters that this still a good entry point. $69, $70, $71....won't be long until this is $80+ Everyone I know is getting a house, and half of them are getting one built.

DHI was just mentioned as stock to buy in home builder category at CNBC with the hot Miss Kelly!! Toll brothers is worst stock to own in this category according to the analyst.

This will go up - Earnings per share of $ 2.24 vs. $ 1.76 expected. -Income of 6,400 million + 27% vs 1,970 million expected. -House sales: 20,248 units, + 27%.

Bull trap ? No, #$%$ High prices are largely a function of low inventory and high demand. Yes, selling prices will come down as inventory catches up and lumber prices (behind on production due to COVID) drop a bit. However, we are still talking about HUGE market growth and monetary flow into the single family, detached home market. Margins will drop a little, but will be VERY outpaced by number of homes sold. Strong bullish pattern and supporting data.
G
DHI should be trading around $75 plus, and I believe it will be pretty soon!
Bullish

As a Canadian whos seen my country's home prices go insane, i believe the US might be on the verge of the same scenario. I see a lot of the same variables at play
