Go into the stores and see how lean they are on inventory. Tried to buy a Nike Legend Dri-FIT T-shirt in XL. All they've had for a month are Smal amd Medium sizes. Did they lose the Nike contract, do they have credit problems and can't afford more inventory in the most popular sizes? Did Nike pull their supply contract? Or are they simpily mis-managed? Whatever the answer, you can't drive revenues and the stock price wpwards, if you can't get product to sell. This POS is toast based upon what I can see after to multiple trips to multiple stores.
Woah! Have you seriously never heard of the stock dork? It is one of the top trading sites on the world wide web. Have a look at thestock-dork .
Moneyman, I think so, but I also bought before earnings thinking it would be a good report, so take that with a grain of salt. I believe the retail report showed two areas of improvement in sectors that have been beaten up of late, restaurants and sporting goods. I believe the Christmas season will be very good. You had several sports cities impacted by the storms and once the Red Cross money gift cards come out they will be buying sports gear and Coach purses, who I bought last week as well. I was in New Orleans right after Katrina, I was walking along the water walk right before the holidays and needed a gift for my girlfriend at the time and I saw a Coach store. I walked in and talked to the young lady about a purse and as she was very attractive delved deeper into other conversations to include how their business was after the storm and she said it was great.
