(DLOC), developer of an artificial intelligence (AI) platform for personalized digital content, today announced its wholly-owned subsidiary, EllisLab, launched an Add-on Marketplace for its flagship open-source content management system, ExpressionEngine. EllisLab has been working with third-party developers throughout the ExpressionEngine ecosystem to build the new marketplace.

The acquisition of EllisLab in November 2018 was a foundational component of a larger strategy to bring AI-driven content personalization technology to the Web. EllisLab re-licensed its flagship product, ExpressionEngine, as free and open source software (FOSS) in late 2018.
Under continuous development for the past 15 years, ExpressionEngine is one of the most trusted, mature and feature-rich content management systems on the market today. ExpressionEngine has been used to power presidential campaign websites, such as Barack Obama in 2008 and Donald Trump in 2016, as well as websites from global companies such as Starbucks, Toyota, Disney and Nike.
