Seeing some passive aggressive posts with incorrect misleading information. FWIW, AAV has a half life of a few hours. After AAV infusion, the host immune system starts making neutralizing antibodies and AAV is cleared. That is why you do not see repeat dosing in gene editing or therapy. Now you might be wondering, why does gene therapy last so long...its because a stable plasmid (DNA) is being delivered to the nucleus, where transcription can occur for years. For gene editing, an unstable RNA is delivered. Translation can occur, but only for a short time. Both the AAV is cleared and the RNA breaks down. DTIL plans on using both LNP and AAV for its editing trials. ARCUS is small enough to use either. Other gene editors are stuck using LNP, which currently only goes to the liver. AAV has different tropism towards different tissues depending on the serotype. For being able to deliver an editor to tissues outside the liver, ARCUS with AAV has the advantage. I'll save editing mitochondria (only something ARCUS can do) for another day.

Market seem to turn towards us.
ARKG and NBI and XBI outperform Nasdaq yesterday and today.
It could maybe be a sign that rotation into biotech comes soon, because they are oversold.
Whoever buy DTIL now is for sure not buying at the top. Most likely the best buy price in the history of DTIL

Can we all agree we made a big mistake on this one? A HUGE mistake? This will be where it was 4 months ago in 5 years from now. We need to triple where we are. Years and years away it will be $15 again.

Strip out cash and the whole business is valued at less than $200m. I just bought a bit more (I admit I'm averaging down)!

Brutal week - I believe the all time low is $4.45 from last September, if you subtract cash ($2.17-2.40) and the deferred Eli Lily revenues ($1.5) =$3.67-$3.90 per share

The stock closed at $4.59 net of cash stock = $2.42-$2.19

Net of cash and the $90m in Lily deferred revenue a stock valued at =$0.69-$0.92

    Based on:
($2.4 is representative of the last published cash position by DTIL $144m, but using the average burn rate, like cash would be at approx $130M)

The approx $90M deferred revenue is zeroed out on the balance sheet as both an asset and a liability.

    And 60M shares outstanding

The good news is, it’s highly unlikely they’d need to raise cash; they expanded the runway by 6 months to middle of 2023, so my hope is in-vivo will be validated in humans and Lily opts into at least one of the initial 3 targets; but the next 18 months will be critically important.

Verve is worth $1.57B (5.64x the value of Precision) DTIL is extraordinarily undervalued or Verve is extremely overvalued (cant be both ways). Let’s just hope management executes over the next 18 months 🤞 I will reassess at the next clinical updates, until then best of luck to all; and have a good weekend

As I wrote few days ago we reached previous lows. My 4.66 limit was filled. Now the question is how low can we go. I think we have 50 % more to reach cash levels but certainly hope we will not. There is a limit to the cash I can throw in this

Given no new DTIL news, I won't let the market push me out of my position in DTIL (likewise for other shares). I'm maybe lucky as only 20% of my net worth is in shares and I have holding power. One thing I've learnt is that, when there is a general sell-off, all shares go down but the cream will ultimately rise to the top again. The ride though can be uncomfortable and it typically separates long term investors from short term speculators.

I m still here and still buying. I believe Darek
Jantz didn’t spend 20 years of his life for nothing. They have had partnerships with Gilead, Serviër and now Lily. These names wouldn’t partner with a random business. Bear the blow. Hold on long.

Wow, interesting all major GEs are still above their IPO after significant correction except DTIL.

Don't know if it's the bottom, but bought more PB just now. Also picked up more Mara today. I want to get in on Truth Digital, but can't tell if I missed the boat and how much more it will run going into February.

I really don't understand why we always compare with other GE's. I agree all others are down but does DTIL up when all others on the moon? Except few days it never reached its IPO price.

Thinking about if stealth cell improves upon PBCAR0191 and during the same time the following look good initially during Ph1: PCSK9 disruption, gene insertion into PCSK9 locus (IECURE), and a Lilly trial start. That would be multiple catalysts hitting at once.

It is impossible to pick the bottom of the market and I appreciate interest rates are going to go up - but the sell-off of growth stocks over the past 5 months appears to be well overdone at this point. I'm treating the current market as a buying opportunity (just added more). When the turn comes, it will be fast and quite possibly extreme!

The whole biotech sector has been hammered for several months - and is now making new lows when the overall market is making new highs. Does anybody have any good reasons for this? I'm somewhat confused by this huge divergence - I will not sell without good reason though. Actually, I'm thinking of buying again!
