Thoughts on the 1:3 share price split on June 20, 2019 as to future Sp performance. Dividend was kept at .06, management is on top of their game IMO but typically--not always--stocks can be shorted from this split action. We have already had a Sp beating, but just asking for opinions, if this downward trade action is over or continued.

Has anyone noticed the proposed 1/3 reverse stock split? Causes concern for growth and the ability of this management.

Just made my big buy 13% yield in soon to be lowering interest rate environment.. yes pre pays “should” increase (I don’t think they will as refis sent what they used to be) but co will have lower cost of capital assuming they don’t hedge to deep the wrong way.. I have complete confidence in the Mgmt team just look at their track record over the long haul

Somebody is wrong. Either the market is throwing this out with the bathwater or their portfolio wasn't as solid as reported. They have not reported any margin calls which I would think was a reportable event, but the market is selling this like they have. They were mostly agency securities.

History shows the best time to buy is during inverted yield curve panic (which never lasts that long)...

Did anyone dial in to the conference call Monday? Anything pertinent to the dividend discussed?

Christopher Nolan, 4-star analyst from Ladenburg, sees Dynex as a solid REIT with a strong portfolio and steady returns. He raised his outlook on the stock from Neutral to Buy, and set a price target of $17, indicating room for 9% upside growth in the coming year.

    In for dividends.

Horrible management is the cause of the deterioration of this company. The only wise thing they have done is reduce the dividend; however, this reduction in the dividend must be used sensibly. Since the investor must rely on good choices by management the smart investor would bail from this sinking ship

Wow! Why did this go down so much yesterday when the market was so up? I have enjoyed the dividend from this after I bought some of this several months ago, but am wondering why is was down so much yesterday?

Like my previous posts said DX is cheap.. “DX capital raised to outperform by Keefe, Bruyette and Woods”

Been watching this for awhile since hearing about it via Colorado Wealth Management's Seeking Alpha posting.

Finally in at $6.02 this morning, kinda backed up the truck here. Laugh at my catching a falling knife folly, or admire my ballsy awesomeness - this seems to be making a stand just above 6. Been through this short term REIT bashing rodeo many times before, as usual, I never sell, sometimes clench my teeth and buy. This was one of those times. Using money that was raised selling my bought at $74 position in VNQ awhile ago for $84. so feeling pretty swell about that.

    As usual, time will tell...

DX says the reverse split is to create additional investor interest. I say BULL. DX will only use this as a new jumping off point to begin new phases of stock dilution through more stock offerings. If management knew what they were doing they would be able to grow existing stock value through smart investment choices and earnings management.

What’s up with the dreaded reverse system split. I am wanting to buy back on but those two words are like oil and water

This is probably the safest REIT on the market...very narrow trading range over the years..

Latest report shows that book value has dropped 18 cents, but the stock price has dropped about 50 cents since the previous report. Analysts still say it will earn 69 cents in 2019. PE is now less than 9 and dividend yield is over 12%. This stock is now undervalued.

I'm thinking we should have the dividend announcement the end of the week or early next week?
