Shares of Eventbrite Inc. jumped more than 20% in the extended session Thursday after the company reported a wider-than-expected third-quarter loss but sales that topped forecasts and were up 11% year-on-year. Eventbrite said it lost $30.2 million in the quarter, or 36 cents a share, compared with a loss of $35.5 million, or $1.24 a share, in the same period prior year. Revenue rose to $82.1 million, from $74 million a year ago. Analysts polled by FactSet had expected Eventbrite to report a loss of 26 cents a share on sales of $77 million. For the full-year 2019, Eventbrite guided for revenue between $319 million and $323 million. Eventbrite went public in September 2018. Shares of Eventbrite had ended the regular trading day down 2.7%.
