    On December 26, 2019, the Stone Harbor Emerging Markets Income Fund (NYSE: EDF) (the "Fund"), a closed-end fund, will pay a monthly distribution on its common stock of $0.18 per share to shareholders of record at the close of business on December 13, 2019. The Fund, acting in accordance with an exemptive order received from the Securities and Exchange Commission and with approval of its Board of Trustees, adopted a managed distribution policy under which the Fund may utilize capital gains, where applicable, as part of regular monthly cash distributions to its shareholders. This policy gives the Fund greater flexibility to realize capital gains and to distribute those gains to shareholders.

    NEW YORK, Oct. 23, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Stone Harbor Emerging Markets Income Fund ("the Fund"), which is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "EDF", announced the declaration of monthly distributions of $0.18 per common share, payable on the dates noted below.  Based on the Fund's current share price of $13.03 and net asset value per share of $9.15 (as of close on October 22, 2019), the distributions represent an annualized distribution rate of 16.58% and 23.61% respectively. This press release is not for tax reporting purposes but is being provided to announce the amount of the Fund's distributions that have been declared by the Board of Directors.     British Gas to raise energy prices from April

    Centrica's British Gas will increase household energy bills from April in line with a national price cap that regulator Ofgem increased this month by 10 percent, the company said on Tuesday. British Gas said on its website that its standard variable tariff for gas will rise by 10.4 percent and for electricity by 13.8 percent. Ofgem had said that the cap on dual-fuel bills - both gas and electricity - would rise by 10.3 percent to £1,254 a year from April 1 for average energy use.
