The Shares MSCI Emerging Market ETF (EEM) has gained almost 25% since the start of the year, while the SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY) has advanced just over 10% in the same span. In the firm’s latest quarterly newsletter, Ben Inker, head of asset allocation, said GMO bought more emerging equities in early July, and remains particularly optimistic about emerging value.
