Management would not jump to a $0.14 monthly dividend if they did not firmly believe it is sustainable. Enjoy the 9.8% yield my fellow EFC shareholders!
Wow! 14 cents!
Just got into Ellington and will increase my holdings very similar to AGNC government backed securities and a steady dividend think this be a good one in my portfolio 😀
love love love this management team....
its a great day to be alive :-)
show me the money . efc did
$0.10 dividend reaffirmed for another month. Book value only increased $0.01. In light of the recent run up in interest rates, it’s good news book value did not decline. EFC continues to be a stellar performer.
I placed an order to buy 3000 shares at 17.23 and the pps jumped to 17.24 immediately,...cancelled the order...placed an order for 2000 shars at 17.24 and the pps jumped immediately to 17.25 and never filled...cancelled the order...the market makers behind the stock are scammers
Just curious, are there any other reits that are as well run as EFC that someone on the board would recommend... taking into account that rates are likely to continue increasing? I've noticed a couple that are paying around a 10% divy but no idea how they might perform in a higher interest rate economy.
I love this! $1.20/yr for a stock I paid $3.89 for! Paid monthly! Too bad I didn't buy 100k shares!
$0.10 dividend re-affirmed for another month. Meanwhile net asset value increased $0.65 which is a whopping 45% annualized. During next week's earnings call I am expecting management to reiterate future dividend increases are likely.
Given the consistent strong earnings, why doesn’t this trade at a premium to book?

Ellington Financial is up 5.03% to 17.13
Dividend seems to fluctuate with EPS.. do they target a specific payout amount?
Also 15 cent div in march traded at $18.5; 10 cent div here now at $15.5 theres a higher multiple placed on EFC since COVID hit?
Monthly book value continues to grow at a 25% annual rate. Dividend reaffirmed with plenty of room for future increases. Not many investments out there yielding 8.1% are as solid as Ellington Financial.
Man, EFC is just delivering on the earnings results with "upside" to the divvy from here. I can't believe I got shares around $4. If we ever go back to 15 cents monthly, the yield would be 45% annually! $1.80 in divvys / $4 cost basis = 45%.
In spite of Zachs sell rating for EFC, the stock is appreciating. What do the experts know?
“Ample room for additional dividend growth from here.” Nice quote from Ellington’s CEO speaking to 3rd quarter results.
Company dilutes shares by almost 15% and the stock only goes down 3%? Lots of confidence in this Company by the shareholders, of which I am one.
Once again the market monthly dividend of $0.09 has been reaffirmed and the book value increased $0.31 or 23% annualized. Carry on Ellington.
