E.ON SE operates as an energy company in in Germany, United Kingdom, Romania, Hungary, The Czech Republic Sweden, the United States, and internationally. The company provides power and gas distribution networks and related services; and plans, builds, operates, and manages renewable generation assets, such as onshore wind/solar and offshore wind/other, as well as generates electricity through bio energy resources. It also offers energy services, such as site management, operations and maintenance, correctives, wind farm optimization, and energy management; and operates nuclear power stations. In addition, the company provides integrated energy solutions and energy efficiency services for lighting, cooling, heating, process steam, and electricity needs of commercial and industrial customers, and public-sector institutions; optimizes existing plants, as well as plans, designs, finances, and operates new plants at customer’s sites; and energy management service for a range of customers, including retailers, shopping centers, assembly plants, production facilities, distribution centers, data centers, hospitals, and office buildings. Further, it offers GasCalc software, a tool that allows a uniform approach to be adopted in the calculation of natural gas properties; and SmartSim, a solution, which allows gas flows in the network to be simulated such that the superior calorific value can be precisely determined at various exit points despite feeding different gas qualities into the grid; and gas quality tracking solution in gas grids. Additionally, the company distributes energy solutions to residential, small and medium sized enterprises, large commercial and industrial, and public entities. It also serves 32 million customers with power, gas, heat, and energy solutions. The company’s generating capacity comprises 4,176 megawatts; and attributable generating capacity consists of 4,574 megawatts. E.ON SE was founded in 1923 and is based in Essen, Germany.
