Many states are threatening to sue BlackRock. They claim that BlackRock is not pursuing the highest returns for state investments and thus violating state laws. Instead, these states believe that BlackRock is instead pursuing social environmental justice and trying to force their agenda on companies. It will be interesting to see how this plays out and if those suits do go forward.

I am very happy as dividend payout is just around the corner. There is currently an understanding building as to the long term view of this partnership that will continue to reflect gains and still have a PE ratio around 12 which is very cheap in today's market. Earnings growth of around 30% will continue to pay increased distributions through the remainder of year end. The solid price reflection of managements ' results should generate an increase to the $ 15-16 range by year end. Very nice investment for me,

Mark Cuban said he would rather companies reward investors with dividends rather than buy back shares. I agree with him. I think companies should set a dividend then us a variable dividend when they have extra cash. DVN does this and it works good. I like cash.

Crude traders are pricing in a pretty significant world recession putting pressure on crude prices. Many energy analysts believe it is overdone. First of all, the US is entering hurricane season. Hurricanes can move WTI higher. Second, the SPR release is due to end in October. That takes a lot of barrels off the market. Third, the EU sanctions on Russian crude start at the end of the year. Price caps on Russian crude are being considered. How will Putin react? Does he stop some crude deliveries to Europe? There is significant risk to supply. I think Goldman is right and WTI ends the year much higher.

Question: concerning DRIPs. What supports the distribution of the shares to shareholders using the DRIP? Is it from a pot of shares already held by ET. Or more to the point, do they ever have to go into the market to buy them. Pardon my ignorance on this topic.

We should bounce around here for a while, unless we get a big market correction and I think we will. Then they will bump the divi and we are off to the races. Good for another 3- 4 points over the next year. If this drops into the low 10's time to buy again.

The front month natural gas futures at the Henry Hub were trading up over 2.5% to $8.398 per MMBtu. With a heat wave expected to continue, this is good for volumes and nat gas producers.
