Description

Etrion Corporation, an independent power producer, acquires, develops, builds, owns, and operates solar power generation plants. It operates through two segments, Solar Energy Chile and Solar Energy Japan. The company owns 109 megawatts of installed solar capacity in Chile and Japan. It sells its electricity to the Japanese public utilities, as well as to the spot electricity market and to a third party under a long-term power purchase agreement in Chile. Etrion Corporation has a strategic partnership with Hitachi High-Technologies Corporation for the development, financing, construction, ownership, and operation of utility-scale solar power plants in Japan. The company was formerly known as PetroFalcon Corporation and changed its name to Etrion Corporation in September 2009. Etrion Corporation was incorporated in 1993 and is headquartered in Miami, Florida.
