Ford Motor Company today announced that Steven Armstrong, who is currently chairman, Ford of Europe, has been named president of the Changan Ford joint venture in China. Armstrong succeeds Nigel Harris, who has elected to retire from Ford at the end of 2019 after 34 years of distinguished service with the company. Armstrong brings to the new position more than 30 years of automotive and Ford experience from a variety of general management and purchasing leadership positions around the world.
Attorneys at Hagens Berman are urging owners and lessees of MyFord Touch-equipped Ford and Lincoln vehicles to claim their portion of a preliminarily approved $17 million settlement reached with Ford that can mean up to $400 back in the pockets of those who have been plagued by Ford’s faulty MyFord Touch infotainment system. Owners and lessees of new or used vehicles equipped with MyFord Touch that were acquired from a Ford dealer before Aug. 9, 2013, have until Sept. 20, 2019, to file a claim. The lawsuit states that the MyFord Touch infotainment touchscreen system often crashes and freezes while the vehicle is in motion, fails to respond to repeated voice and touch commands, provides inaccurate GPS information and is unable to connect to mobile devices.

Consumers today filed a new class-action lawsuit accusing Ford of falsifying tests related to the fuel economy of the most popular vehicle in the world, the Ford F-150, according to attorneys at Hagens Berman.
