Devon, the usual leader, is getting a bounce this morning. Hopefully that is a good sign for all oil stocks. $FANG $OXY $MRO $DVN

This is too easy. I don't believe it's over yet. Feels fishy.

Just keep reminding myself. Huge dividends, management buying back shares, 75% free cash flow. Great long term hold with oil even in the $70-$90. It’s over $100 and likely to stay elevated for a while if not higher.

    Stay calm and hold

The large volume on Friday close was index rebalancing. Apparently there is more to come today so expect to see a bigger volume than usual.

GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany (Reuters) -Two top OPEC oil producers, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, can barely increase oil production, French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday said he had been told by the UAE's president.

Saudi Arabia and the UAE have been perceived as the only two countries in the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) with spare capacity to boost global deliveries that could reduce prices.

So the market has already factored in lower commodity prices across the oil and gas equities.

I believe oil and gas hold the line. Supply and demand is what it is. This is just short term political leveraging by many countries to lower prices during busiest part of year.

Very interesting. I bet that oil and gas is the biggest sector gainer for second half 2022.

Just look what WB is doing. All will be good. Keep holding. Enjoy the ride.

Rumor - Truce that Ukraine will give up the east in exchange for immediate admission to EU. Apparently a 30 page document behind the scenes. I didn't think Zelensky would settle after the cost to his country but apparently a lot of pressure on him to do so.

Take it for what it's worth. Carter Worth did a piece today on CNBC, estimating the sector has 8-10% more downside then he said he could see a bounce.

Just some context for you all. July 1, 2021 FANG was at $99. They pulled the rug out just like what's happening now. It bottomed at about $67 on August 19th. On October 11th it was over $110. Bottomed again at $99 on December 20th. On January 14th, 2022, FANG was at $129. Notice a pattern?

We topped out at $162 on this latest run. What will the bottom be this time? $110, $105? And where will we end up coming out of this? I estimate $180-190. Like don said this stock does this all the time.
    Bullish

Doesn't make any difference how high we go during the day, it's whether FANG can hold it through closing. Would like to see a strong day with upward trend all the way to the end.

All equities current value is based on future cash flows.
    Fang's 2022 EPS speculated to be from $25 - $27.50 per share.
Using a standard 10 multiple, means Fang's realistic fair value is $250 to $275 per share.
    Bullish

I can’t believe the volume in the oil stocks. It’s almost hard to fathom. Does anyone think that maybe the oils did this in coordination to buy back their shares? Heard it a couple times on other boards. Very interesting theory. I cannot wait for the august earnings. Will be spectacular to say the least. I don’t believe Fang existed when commodity prices were this high. 200+ seems so far away but when Fang gets there everyone will just move past it and on to the next price target. This company is making cash flow like crazy right now.

I could envision a brief dip down to 115 or possibly 110 in the coming weeks. But such a dip I believe will be bought up fast and will institute the bottom. Quick rebound afterwards.
