10 percent down is just dividend payments. same thing happened last year so don't worry it will re adjust

The fund is paying out capital gains....and not dividends!!! Hence, the drop in price to adjust the capital gains. BTW, Fidelity Growth (FDGRX) has been closed to new investors for more than ten years.

Trying to understand why this is down over 10% today. Taxes?

Please confirm my understanding. The capital gains payment will decrease the share value by the same amount. For example, if the shares are $40/ share and the capital gain is $4/share, the new share value is $36. This is based on my research on the Fidelity web site as it relates to capital gain payment.

    Thank you for any feedback.

Does anyone know why the Comingled Fund of FDGRX through your company’s 401k does not payout capital gains?

I sold a large portion of my position early this year for better investment opportunities. So long as you have a position in this fund, you can always reinvest at a later date.

Great fund that just keeps on giving. i have 100% of my 401K in this fund for last 10 years+.....millionaire making fund for sure. Never will let go until retirement nears. Its returns over the years has crushed my individual stocks, cryptos and even my housing investments!?!? The first time i got the dividend i thought i was robbed cause it was distributed as capital gains.....but looking back much more profitable this way
    Bullish

Mr MO. If NVDA drives this fund and it is up today @4.40% why was FDRX UP only 1.08% and NASDAQ was up 1.39%. Other major holdings in fund were up +2%. Someone should check the fund algorithm! 😵
