Good high yield fund. The obvious question is why did it fall so hard from the Feb 21st sell off. A bond fund? This is just about the worst performing bond fund in the CED universe since the sell off. Was it just nervous shareholders? Still not selling at a huge discount. At the current price $2.70 as I write this it would have to move 130% to get back to Feb 21st levels. With a current yield of almost 20% and a 6% discount differential to normal trading this looks like a steal!

Tomorrow I'm buying some shares with a 1-2 year window hoping it makes up most of those losses and hoping they don;t reduce the distribution much. I can double my money while increasing my shares 20%.

I follow all the first trust funds and this is without a doubt the best value in their universe.

This fund needs to be liquidated. It has never performed since the date it went public. Poor management, expense ratio too high, a chairman who writes a one page letter to shareholders that never says anything about the fund or its performance. The managers are clearly milking this one for fees and will eventually bleed it to death.

    Good Morning....

FGB just started a "turnaround" and should be doing better [going forward]. Only "TIME" [going forward] will tell us the rest of the story....

One single opinion of the many I am sure....

    Have a "GREAT" week....
    Live Long and Prosper....
    Best Regards/Eddie....

Before investing in FGB understand BDC's and how risky they are. Only ~20% of new businesses make it. Banks will not lend $$$ to these fledgling companies and individual investors will not as well, this is a middle of the road bond type BDC CEF trading at a HUGE discount after divvy cut so now is the time to buy if you reread the first of this post. I am playing a covid vaccine recovery with a few hundred shares understanding the risk involved and preparing to loose it all (kind of like with a biotech ie. ATHX and CVM

    Good Evening....
FGB is doing well and continues to get stronger [99 report card grade]. A current 11.22% dividend doesn't hurt....

One single opinion of the many I am sure....

Disclosure: Some of us are currently holding a position in FGB....

    Have a "GREAT" week....
    Live Long and Prosper....
    Best Regards/Eddie....

I see that the NAV is $5.73. With the current price of $ 5.95 this is a premium of 3.8%. I would feel better if this would be a negative 3.8%.
