Starting to like Flannery. what I would like see now is a freeze on salaries, 50% reduction of bonuses and elimination of 25% of the Vice Presidents in the company. The Board should have their compensation cut 50% and tied to company profitability.

Its a real positive sign of things to come. Flannery starting cost cutting at the top. It will not end there.

I see they are cutting use of company jets by their own people. This should have been done a long, long time ago. Once again it shows the board was negligent in its fiduciary responsibility to properly run the company and these current cuts could save the company a significant amount of money. So my question to the board, is why is this being dealt with so late in the game. The stock is the worst performer in its category, and is or has a pathetic track record under Immelt, who we all know was asleep at the switch if he was even at it.

Moving up this week. Nice turn around. Funny how all the analyst where telling you to sell all last week and then the next week it jumps up a buck.

Interesting that BHGE was down, today, while parent GE was up. Of course, BHGE only accounts for about 10% of GE. Still, interesting.
Also, perhaps a good sign of things to come is that GE was up almost two percent today on no big news. Maybe people that are on the sidelines waiting for the "bottom" got tired of waiting and are starting to jump aboard. Or, maybe the word is getting out that the new CEO is cracking heads to improve performance. With all the shareholders, rumors or moods there could move the market.
Or, just dumb luck. Whatever was the cause(s), thanks for an up day, buyers!

years ago when the American car industry continued losing money a special meeting was arranged attended by the executives of the industry, all appearing by private jet . asking for financial assistance.
the response next time when you show up here use your cars.
its amazing how executives don't realize they are contributing to the problem.
at least we have to give the new ceo credit for looking at the whole picture.

earlier shorts were blamed for the poor stock performance.. not so, the numbers were close to insignificant
whats going on now, call volume above normal, a bullish indicator. traders more optimistic now.
earnings 10/20 will tell the tale.

JPM has a history of bashing stocks and then buying them on the cheap. They have a horrible track record and can't do honest business. Their entire history is CORRUPTION.

I've never seen anything like this in many years of investing an analyst who publically reiterates his downgrade of a companies stock almost every 2 weeks. This most definitely appears as some type of stock manipulation. What us so magical about his 22.00 price target ? This clock sucker needs to be investigated and have his azxzxxzaz handed to him!

JP Morgan should be investigated by the SEC. Tusa trying to manipulate GE stock price for shorts, while other JP Morgan analyst's are recommending and buying GE. A little collusion going on here?
