Templeton Global Income Fund (GIM)

Any reaction to the 3/10 press release? I watch this closely and did not notice it until yesterday, with the announcement the new dividend for April. I would have expected this to elicit some price movement.

Sold in January of 2015 and bought Apple in February of 2015.
Up over 400% since. For the life of me, I have no idea why I was in this so long.

GIM reached a new 52 Week Low at 6.31

Bottom line is you loose much more in NAV and share price than you ever will make in distributions. Management has not earned their fees during the past three or four years. South American debt bet was a poor bet that contributed to the poor performance. This Templeton fund has under-performed it's benchmark as well.

I got the impression that part of the poor recent performance was the result of having a negative duration, but I cannot find a statistic to confirm that. Does anyone know if that is true? Management may have been too early in going negative, although it seems to make sense now.

Does anyone know whether Mary Choksi, candidate for Trustee in the upcoming Annual Meeting, is a replacement for Frank Crothers, who resigned in May?
