Anyone with a thought on recent sell off. Missed on a couple big project bids but more upcoming. Hurricane issues. Any thoughts appreciated

Inland dredging could be a big growth industry if people learn lakes eventually morph into swamps without dredging.
And our inland waterways need to be dredged and the Mississippi Delta restored.

We can put the backlog concerns to rest for the time being. That’s over $400 million in new awards in the 3rd quarter alone. And more coming!!

The markets issue with GLDD right now is that the deleveraging story has largely played out (successfully) and participants are struggling to find the next major catalyst for the stock. GLDD will continue to get a major portion of government and government related awards as the bid market will remain robust into at least early 2021 but much of that is priced into the stock. LNG terminals and wind power are nice stories however until there is some concrete traction in this area the market has decided to take a “show me” stance. Shorter term, 4q looks strong at a projected 190mm in revenue with margins improving from 3q due to an anticipated fewer dry dock day count. Also, GLDD win pct on bids hopefully improves in 4q although bid discipline will remain a priority. The confirmation of plans for a mid size hopper are more clear now with cost still unknown. I anticipate the build will happen with payments allocated over the next two years. Investors should take a longer term view on the fleet expansion and not fret over the ramped up Capex. Management has earned the benefit of the doubt with its execution over the past two years. I think it’s a $13-$14 stock by mid 2021

A major target for private equity - the growth potential certainly not reflected in current stock price.

Altman Z-score of 1.93 is in grey area. The implies that the company is in some kind of financial stress. If it is below 1.8, the company may faces bankrupcy risk

Just need to spice up growth a little bit - buy some private dredgers or Orion Group (ORN). Stock would get back over $12.

Looks like the debt reduction plan from around two years ago to clean up the balance sheet is 12 months ahead of schedule - positions them for growth now?

any reasons to buy? it would seem infrastructure projects would be on increase? Is there a better competitor to buy instead?
