GlyEco, Inc., a specialty chemical company, collects and recycles waste glycol streams into reusable glycol products. The company operates through two segments, Consumer and Industrial. Its proprietary technology allows it to recycle various types of waste glycol into high-quality products usable in various glycol applications. The company offers high-quality recycled glycols for use in industrial applications; recycled antifreezes for engine coolants; and recycled HVAC fluids, including recycled HVAC coolants for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning fluids. It also provides waste glycol disposal services, such as collection and recycling of waste glycol; and windshield washer fluids. In addition, the company develops, manufactures, and markets additive packages for the antifreeze/coolant, gas patch coolant, and heat transfer industries; and METALGUARD additive package product line comprising one-step inhibitor systems to make various types of antifreeze concentrate and 50/50 coolants for various automobiles, heavy-duty diesel engines, stationary engines in gas patch, and other applications, as well as METALGUARD heat transfer fluids that include propylene and ethylene glycol based light and heavy-duty fluids for various operating temperatures that allow its customers to make finished heat transfer fluids for various industry applications that include all-aluminum systems. Further, it operates a 14-20 million gallons per year, ASTM E1177 EG-1, glycol re-distillation plant in West Virginia, which processes waste glycol into virgin quality recycled glycol for sale to industrial customers, as well as provides customer service and distribution solutions. The company sells its products to third party customers in the automotive and industrial end-markets in the United States and internationally. GlyEco, Inc. was founded in 1996 and is headquartered in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
