Warning Delisting will widen the spread between the bid and ask. Hilton 7.00% preferred was delisted years ago. it didn't find a market maker for months. It had a zero value on the monthly statement even though the dividends flowed uninterrupted. The market maker started trading the stock at 7 dollars bid 9dollars ask. I was a buyer but was always weary the the market maker would go away because the volume was to low for them to make it worthwhile.. The preferred was called at 25.00 when they went public again.

From the press release: “... the rights of the holders of the Preferred Units(GMLPP) will not be effected under GMLP’s limited partnership agreement.”
    Dividends will still roll in.

According to my brokerage, after delisting of prefered shares, it will be traded over the counter and shares stay on the account and dividends will be paid as before.

Voluntary Delistings occur when a company decides that it would like to purchase all of its shares or move to an OTC market while in full compliance with the exchanges. Usually, these are the types of delistings that investors should carefully watch.

The costs of being a publicly traded company are substantial and are occasionally difficult to justify with a low market capitalization, especially after Sarbanes-Oxley laws called for increased disclosures. As a result, deregistering can save a company millions and reward shareholders with a higher net income and earnings per share (EPS).

Paid on Friday April 16 at $3.55 a share. = I got my money (Schwab).

GLMP is Y2745c102 (Schwab acct) = expect your $3.55 per share forced buyout money maybe next week. = If you did not sell you get $3.55 a share.

Lost about $1.00 a share on this. Will update when I get the money.

Dear YMB posters: I hold around 5K shares of GMLP and am wondering if I should sell my shares for which
I paid more than double the price over 2 years ago.
Can somebody confirm if the merger was approved and there is not much hope to get higher than $3.55/share?
If that is the case when will I get the $3.55/share deposited in my brokerage account?
    TIA

Zacks just put out another note on GMLP. Gives them very little credibility. I sold my positions in three IRAs today. I still believe the company was sold out at a fire sale price. It is very dishonest looking with the PE, distribution coverage rate and caving in on an inferior offer IMHO. If a class action is done, I will file the forms. In the meantime $3.51 is better than waiting for the additional 4 cents.

I just read the earnings call transcript. No challenging questions by the analysts. If I read this correctly, the distribution was covered at 22X. That is .44c a share. That is close to what the LP was paying out quarterly just a couple years ago. Yahoo shows a PE of 12. $3.55 a share being touted as a bargain from the lows (under $2). For those who paid $20 plus a little over three years ago, this is not a good deal, especially with the upbeat conference call and ship lease rates. I wish the analysts would have been more pressing on the call to answer these tough questions.
