Just in case no one know why this stock spiked, it is partly due to an article put out by Seeking Alpha, recommending the stock long term.
Of course, the other reason would be that the investors relaxed after the elections and put their money back in :)

Great company. Good investments and healthy dividend. REITs will be under pressure for at least another year while the world figures out what post-Covid office leasing looks like.

Big news on GNL yesterday, added assets and financing which will be very profitable longer term.I am holding for the long term.

Ouch.. “today announced the launch of an underwritten public offering of 4,000,000 shares of common stock under its existing shelf registration statement. In addition, GNL expects to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase 600,000 additional shares of common stock. GNL intends to use the net proceeds from the offering to fund acquisitions, as well as for general corporate purposes”

Nobody on this board knows when GNL will pay its next dividend. Isn't that something! No one knows! The entire
GNL shareholder base is driving in the dark without headlights.

I support the company's action in reducing the dividend to conserve cash, I think it was a wise decision, still a great return.

Well? Is there or isn't there going to be a monthly dividend? Much more of this "on the fence", and I will be packing and adding to
    MAIN, O, AND STAG.

I thought they had a great report even though it missed estimates. A lot of growth at good margins! What's not tolike?

On May 9 in the K-9 release
"Finally, with respect to GNL’s dividend, we paid dividends equating to $0.5325 per common share in the quarter. Subsequent to quarter-end, on April 8th, we announced that we will be aligning our dividend policy more closely with our peers and start paying a quarterly dividend at the end of the second quarter. This change in no way affected the annualized dividend rate on the common stock of $2.13 per share or the previously announced dividend declaration with respect to the month of March."

Just when the price has almost recovered from the RS, we get more dilution.

I did not like the last minute going to quarterly dividend. This thing will probably rise like BRG has but long term does not look like a keeper.

I started following "lionstock-aletrs” (Gooogle it - off course without any space or dash in between the words) and their notifications are better than anyone else.

ER looks good to me. Why is it down 5.5%? This stock makes no sense.

GNL is trading below it's $20 book value. It has a safe $100m cash position and rising revenues over time with rent increases. It's leveraged position includes rising interest rates which will cause a negative effect on earnings at the same time as increasing revenues. While revenues have remained stable with excellent tenancies, earnings have dropped faster than rising interest rates. What is going on over the past 3 years with that? Today is the first strong upward day I've seen in long time. I've owned GNL from it's IPO (sold it for a small loss) and repurchased it just prior to it's change in ownership but I'm still down until it gets back into the low 20's.
