Day 3 of power from our 20KW Generac unit after a wind storm in Southern Ontario. Hoping for regular power to be restored late tonight if we're lucky. Generator has been running flawlessly and life seems pretty normal at our house compare to neighbours that don't have water and their freezers have thawed. This was a good investment.

Hurricane forecast. Always good for Generac
Federal forecasters expect yet another busy Atlantic hurricane season in 2022: As many as 10 hurricanes forming, meteorologists said Tuesday. The season begins June 1 and runs through Nov. 30. An average season typically spawns seven hurricanes and peaks in August and September. If predictions hold true, it will be a record seventh consecutive year of above-normal activity.

I have noticed articles almost every day in the last several weeks about our energy grid not keeping up with demand. Rolling blackouts will be a norm. I see a huge increase in demand for GNRC products. I purchased stock today.

J
GNRC has a large short position. Could be a squeeze target.

Why the huge swings in the daily price? I thought this was a solid industrial co. ? Great earnings recently!! Don’t understand.

I keep selling other stuff and buying more GNRC.. taking the opportunity to upgrade!!

Generac Holdings (GNRC) Continues to Benefit From Climate Change as Extreme Weather Conditions Worsen - BofA Securities . 19 hours ago . The analyst stated "extreme weather is showing up in new markets and driving reliability concerns in less than expected places. We note that Hydro One/Hydro Quebec continues to push to get customers back online across Canada after a devastating storm rolled through on Saturday, leaving hundreds of thousands offline at peak. In the Northeast, temperatures hit a record while in Denver a surprise winter storm dumped more than a foot of snow across the region sending another 80k without power. For Generac (GNRC), demand drivers look increasingly positive even on what are seemingly one offs and still ahead of the regular hurricane/wildfire season."

As I've stated several times on this board, home standby generators will become more and more commonplace over the next decade similar to how home air conditioning is now commonplace. That's the thesis for me.

Adding more to 350

Wildfire season is already spreading in NM and AZ ... CA, OR and WA soon ... Generators are in very high demand especially in California because of the PSPS of PG&E. Generac IS THE climate change company rather than the fanfare over Solar and Wind.
R
Nothing wrong with the company. This is an indiscriminate slaughter across the board. Doesn't matter if the company posted great results. GNRC is a great long-term buy.
B
So cheap..with growth. I am keeping $350 target and raising to 450.

I bought more just under $207 and watched it drop further. Hopefully the free fall ends soon.

Wait until that first hurricane warning this fall lol

I am keeping $500 target on this.

19 major storms predicted this season to hit us. Picked up more shares at $212-214 range.

Great co. and product, but when things slow down these are easy to put off. I am going to buy it but wait til it goes lower.
W
it's the PE, the valuation and it doesn't pay a dividend.
