Why are 25% of the shares outstanding being shorted on a stock with only 35MM shares outstanding and next quarter eps $1.50 then final qtr $2.16.

I'm in around $26, so of course very happy to be here at $165, but have sold some already and not sure what we are doing up here at 44 times 2021 EPS. And why some thought the stock so undervalued here that they bid it up another $7 today (and up another $1 in after hours)
    ... anybody?

$CLNE $HYLN $GTLS Just released Q2 2020 data from the California Air Resources Board (CARB) has confirmed that the energy weighted carbon intensity (CI) value of California’s natural gas vehicle fuel portfolio in the Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) program was below zero—at -0.85 gCO2e/MJ. This is the first time in the history of the LCFS program that any low carbon fuel portfolio has achieved a carbon negative status.

“Given the large and growing volume of heavy-duty natural gas vehicles already hard at work on California’s roads, this is an extremely significant milestone,” said Todd Campbell, chair of the California Natural Gas Vehicle Partnership (CNGVP) and vice president of public policy and regulatory affairs, Clean Energy. “Both the short- and long-term climate benefits of this achievement are extremely significant. When combined with the fact that most natural gas vehicles recently placed into service are powered by near-zero emission engines, the natural gas vehicle industry is providing the most substantial and cost-effective contributions towards California’s goals to reduce criteria and greenhouse gas emissions while eliminating the use of diesel in favor of renewable, low carbon fuels.”

Looking forward to this months earning report and expecting another great earning quarter reflecting that the company is continuing to meet and exceed their own expectations, not sure why the recent pps drop on such real low volumes which may an indicator that it paused to pop and creating another good buying opportunity but with PLUG recent upgrade from Morgan Stanley and pps pop I can't help but expect another strong run for GTLS to $240 after a small low volume pre earning pull back ... What does the board expect to here from the management team?

Switzerland: Parliament gives impetus to biogas propulsion in freight transport $CNHI $GTLS $HYLN

Currently, only trucks with an electric drive have benefited from an HVF exemption. With the motion that was also adopted by the National Council today after the Council of States, the Federal Council now has to regularly adapt laws and regulations in the field of commercial vehicles to the new technological developments. As a result, other commercial vehicles with alternative drives should benefit from a reduction in the HVF.

This also brings great advantages for trucks that are on the move with #biogas #biomethane or #LBG #BioLNG. This is shown by a small calculation example: A 40-ton truck with an old diesel (Euro 0, 1, 2) has to calculate HVF charges of over CHF 99,000 with an annual mileage of 80,000 kilometers. And even a diesel truck with a modern Euro 6 diesel and thus significantly lower emissions still costs almost 73,000 francs per year. #carbonemissions #decarbonization

Bought some shares recently at $180 as it was down from$206. I looked at GTLS a few years back when they made some prototype tenders for LNG locomotives and there was a demand for better tank cars to ship oil from some areas where pipelines had not caught up to Fracking oil wells. You can hear Wee Willie Winkie running through the town yelling "Hydrogen, Hydrogen we need it all around". I own quite a bit of APD the largest producer of Hydrogen in the world who is accelerating their capital investments in green and blue hydrogen production. They are also working with Cummins engine to develop tractors that run on fuel cells using hydrogen and plan on converting their 2000 fleet of semi tank trucks. Their are already prototypes out there. In addition need holding tanks for LNG as it is being advanced in many locations. For me this is a long term hold.

Why natural gas mobility makes sense? Ask Elon Musk $HYLN $CLNE $GTLS (thanks TJ, that is probably the most intelligent thing that Musk said in recent years.) "An EV-dominated society likely means elevated energy prices and peak demand hours that could easily overtax national energy grids. Renewable energy sources may also prove insufficient in providing the kind of power necessary — potentially requiring countries to double down on plants reliant on coal, oil, and natural gas if nuclear facilities are not approved. Counter-productive takes like that are often downplayed, however, so industrial giants can continue proclaiming the technology as largely trouble-free."
