Moody's Investors Service has downgraded Indiana Regional Medical Center's (PA) revenue bond rating to Ba3 from Ba2. The downgrade to Ba3 reflects Indiana Regional Medical Center's (IRMC) weak operating performance in fiscal 2020, in part due to COVID-19, and an expectation that margins will remain at levels that show variance to budget. The impact of the suspension of non-essential services during COVID-19 on IRMC's revenue base, a social risk under Moody's ESG classification, will create a larger hurdle to improve and restore profitability.
