It looks like is bouncing but internally is falling apart. The company fired several of the senior old VP's that were operating for decades for the company. The reprecautions of trying to run the food division as a housekeeping company is reflecting poorly in southern California as they keep loosing business even new business that were recently acquired. Many issues come from having the housekeeping RD trying to manage the food division as a housekeeping department. I knew this was a problem but never crossed my mind it would be the company downfall. I know this might seem as insignificant for some of you cheerleaders of Ted but he is bringing the company down big time. The DMs are overloaded with responsibilities that can not be accomplished at the end they get frustrated and leave, so I see very little room for the growth to continue.

Solid performance on Q1, nice rebound from Q4!

invested in hcsg years ago with good dividend and appreciation results and subsequently sold. sp has plummeted in recent times with covid, manpower, underperforming clients, etc impact. As covid subsides, people come back to work, etc, has the sp bottomed? My question is whether the dividend is secure, given that the divy has not been reduced or suspended during these difficult times for companies like hcsg. Opinions?
One point to note from the Zacks Analyst Blog Highlights which came out today, "The company has no debt and its current ratio is 4.0X. So it has significant liquidity and flexibility in navigating through the current environment. The company has a Growth Score A and Value Score B."

On today's earnings call it seems the company is headed in the right direction. There is no quick fix. If the stock can make incremental gains it's worth holding. I wish the company indicated if there were any other customers that it planned to terminate??

Should load up at these discount prices !! The Dividend and history of this and company suggest now is a great entry point . Wage pressure and inflationary issues should resolve next year IMO..
Bullish

Reading the transcripts of the conference call after the earnings, I am happy with the answers. This stock is beaten down too much and I think it is a good opportunity to buy.
W
Wages are sticky. Like they said in the conference call they will need to pass the costs on to their clients. The issue is that could take a while to cycle contracts, tough negotiations will have to take place, and they may not have the margins they once did. They may also loose some customers in the process. The years ahead will be tough, and they will need a bit of luck and some excellent maneuvers to recover to their previous ROIC.

This stock is set up nicely. Needs a longer outlook of about 2 years for those that can wait.

Colleagues: I am a new investor to HCSG. I bought on the recommendation of the Oxford Income Letter. I am a retired dividend investor. This seems like a very good small cap value stock. No debt, I understand - which is great.
b
I know one thing anybody selling here at 52 week low is taking a loss, so how low does it go when it’s institutional guys that own this? I say not much more then here I bought some
C
Solid Qtr, looks like HCSG is making progress and starting 2020 in a positive way !!
P
It is getting closer to the share price of 33.91 on Feb 9! With another solid quarter and good dividends, this stock continues to be attractive.
P
Time to load more. This is a long term value stock despite the missed forecast.
