This according to the street is a great company. However the Life Safety division or safety equipment division we refer to Honeywell as Moneyswell ! The worst service and delivery among the large manufactures (3M, MSA,KC). Consistently backordering even NIOSH items working class people must have in order to go home safely. Everything is "well we have a back order ". Gloves can be switched with ease.. Respirators are a pain to switch and not having parts is unacceptable. Putting customer service and employees on furlough isn't going to help the situation. Firing the Ivy League Managers and hiring someone who actually knows the industry and understands NIOSH, ANSI and OSHA is what needs to be done. Honeywell in good faith to the American worker should either sell this division or fix it !! Man I miss the old North, Miller and Surviair days before Honeywell bought, stripped, and mismanaged them. Next week I get to go to NSC and see the brass and hear their fluff of how great things are at Honeywell Life Safety. A thermostat isn't like safety equipment. When safety equipment isn't shipped people can get hurt or worse.. Honeywell has a ethical and morel responsibilty to be a good corporate steward ! Please I beg you fix this division !

If UTX completes the Rockwell-Collins acquisition it will make the 2nd time Honeywell has lost out due to inaction . 1st was Sunstrand. Also Hon needs a 2 for 1 stock split. Investors view Hon as a $70/share stock not $140.

Now that Boeing is branching out into avionics design/manufacturing they could be a buyer of Honeywell Aero later this year.

Looks like Honeywell supporting case for keeping Aerospace. Still too early for outcome. Stock holding up.

Announced a 3 for 1 stock split to keep the excitement and momentum. A stock split will attract new investors and restore momentum again.

Can't believe how quiet this HON board is with Honeywell seriously considering spinning-off their Aerospace division. In my opinion, if this becomes reality, the stock could easily get into the 145 to 150 range very quickly, market conditions permitting. They must be burning a lot of midnight oil going over the numbers and logistics of a move that big. A spin-off could quickly become a sell-off.

If Honeywell wanted to be a major software developer where is the car/bus/truck self-driving software? Of all companies they certainly have the experienced personnel in autopilot hardware/software, redundancy management, sensors etc.

Spinning off just Aero doesn't make sense unless they breakup the whole company.

What does Loeb know about anything but a quicker buck? This objective of theirs sounds like they want to buy a car, then part it out. Yes, that might return something, but the company has been working - and working well for decades. Aerospace will come back with autonomous whatever. Actually when I think about it, Honeywell is well positioned to be forefront in autonomous vehicle - sensor development and manufacturing, along with central monitoring and reporting,
